Lilongwe-based gospel collective The Heart of Worship Malawi has released a live audio and video recording of its latest song, “Dzina Lake,” which Nyasa Times reports is drawn from the album Echo Holy 2. Nyasa Times quotes Musicians Union of Malawi president Vita Chirwa praising the decision to record live, saying the format captures authenticity and can help artists package performance content for audiences and streaming platforms, according to Nyasa Times. The track also appears on a DistroKid landing page under the artist name THOWMW, according to DistroKid.

Separately, Face of Malawi reports that Valentine’s weekend social media was dominated by posts about high-profile gifts, including claims that businessman Thom Mpinganjira “reportedly” bought his wife Trephonia Mpinganjira a Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge and that musician Zeze Kingston “reportedly” gifted his wife Dorothy Kingston a Range Rover Velar. Face of Malawi reports the posts sparked debate over expectations around Valentine’s gifting, and says some shop owners and florists in Lilongwe and Blantyre reported strong sales of roses and related items.
