Following earlier safety warnings regarding conditions on Lake Malawi, the Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services (DCCMS) has issued fresh advisories urging mariners and the general public to stay alert. According to the latest DCCMS weather updates, renewed Mwera winds began blowing across Lake Malawi and other major water bodies on April 29.
The department also reported that a southeasterly air mass is currently driving windy, partly cloudy, and cool-to-warm conditions across most of the country. Forecasts indicate that fog patches and light showers will be concentrated mainly over the southern tip of Malawi.
