On the Malawian music scene, artist Waxy Kay released his new 15-track album titled 'Art of Love' on March 4, according to Zedwap. The project features multiple collaborations, including the songs "Guess Who" with Jay Jay Cee Mw, "Nthawi" featuring M Busy, and "Malire" with Siliya. Other local artists featured on the album include Wikise1992, Chain Oh Abebu, Twin M, and Prophet Themba.

In literary and cultural news, the Khitchini Hub at Lilongwe's City Centre will host a book festival on March 7 aimed at revitalising the reading culture in Malawi, Nation Online reports. Organised by the bookshop Books and More, the event will feature a marketplace for local booksellers alongside arts and crafts, music, poetry, spoken word open mic sessions, and children's activities. Event organiser Cephas Chiyabwe stated the festival is intended to combat a decline in reading habits driven by digital distractions and economic pressures, while offering local authors a place to connect with readers.

Meanwhile, live music audiences showed their enthusiasm during a recent performance by the reggae group Black Missionaries, commonly known as Ma Blacks. According to Nation Online, fans at a routine weekend show at Club 24/7 in Blantyre spotted gospel singer Evance Meleka in the crowd. The audience demanded that Meleka take the stage, which led to a spontaneous midnight performance alongside the band.
