Over 30 underprivileged secondary school students in Lilongwe's Senior Chief Kalolo area have received educational and upkeep support through the Youth Empowerment through Sustainable Education (YESE) project, according to Nyasa Times. The donation ceremony, held on Saturday at Msundwe Trading Centre, provided learners with school fees, learning materials, and basic necessities to combat dropout rates and teenage pregnancies. YESE Project Coordinator Loveness Kaomba stated that the initiative, implemented by Sunhawk Energy International alongside local partners, also focuses on reintegrating girls into the education system.

Meanwhile, rural schools in the Kasungu District are receiving technological upgrades through the Tech Bridges To Malawi project, RFI reports. The programme, funded by the US-based Hardy Bunch Foundation, recently installed solar power and Starlink satellite internet at Nthunduwala Community Day Secondary School. The project has already equipped 35 schools in the district with laptops, projectors, and internet connectivity, providing many students with their first opportunity to use a computer. Organisers plan to expand the digital programme to 44 schools by the end of the year.
