In Lilongwe Rural, Malunje Primary School received a donation of solar lighting systems to improve night study conditions for students in self-boarding camps, MBC reports. Youth climate advocate Joel Chirwa installed three solar kits across a classroom and two boarding houses. The project, supported by the African Climate Alliance Youth Network Energy Action Projects, aims to provide a safe alternative to candles and paraffin lamps for rural learners preparing for their final exams. Headmaster Gladwell Custom welcomed the new equipment, noting it will help improve student concentration and the overall school pass rate.
