On June 19, hip-hop artist Gwamba, born Duncan Zgambo, was officially unveiled as the new brand ambassador for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, according to Malawi24. The partnership merges music and sports by having the rapper lead fan engagement activities and community outreach programs. Big Bullets Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga stated that the collaboration will help the club strengthen its commercial visibility and reach new audiences beyond traditional football supporters.

Update: In music news, South Africa-based Malawian producer Jillz teamed up with Zeze Kingston and Tay Grin to release the new single "Energy," according to Malawi24. The Hype Magazine notes that the track reflects a broader shift of cross-era collaborations aimed at expanding the regional and international audience for Malawian urban music. Meanwhile, older tracks by singer Praise Umali, including his collaboration with Eli Njuchi titled "Love Me Now" and his solo track "Time," gained renewed attention this week after being republished as new downloads on the platform Zedwap Music.

The arts and sports sectors will also intersect at the Standard Bank Be More Race this weekend at Bingu National Stadium. Organizers announced on June 18 that the event has attracted a record 4,000 runners and will feature a full festival experience, according to Nyasa Times. The gathering will include live performances from popular Malawian urban artists, family entertainment zones, and a marketplace to celebrate community culture alongside the road competition.
