Update: Songwe Border United Extend Lead as Super League Shifts Weekend Fixtures

Update: Songwe Border United have extended their lead at the top of the NBS Bank National Division League to 13 points after defeating second-placed Extreme FC 3-1. According to the Football Association of Malawi, the June 21 victory in the top-of-the-table clash secures Songwe Border's position as they push further ahead in the standings.

In elite football, the Super League of Malawi has announced changes to upcoming FDH Bank Premiership fixtures. The match between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Masters FC, originally scheduled for Saturday, June 27 at Mpira Stadium, has been relocated to Joyce Chitsulo Stadium in Mwanza. Additionally, the match between Silver Strikers and Red Lions has been pushed back by one day and will now be played on Sunday, June 28, according to a June 23 update from the league.

Recent Super League weekend action also delivered decisive results. On Sunday, June 21, Creck Sporting secured a 3-1 victory over Masters FC. In another fixture on the same day, Red Lions earned a narrow 1-0 win against Chitipa United, according to official Super League of Malawi match reports.
