Malawi has agreed to strengthen digital infrastructure cooperation with Ghana. According to TechAfrica News, the agreement was reached following discussions between the communications ministers of both nations at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The partnership will involve knowledge transfer, exchange visits, and the sharing of documents to support digital development in both countries.

Meanwhile, a High Court ruling has sparked a national debate over journalistic standards in Malawi. According to the Mail & Guardian, Judge Kenyatta Nyirenda issued a sharp critique of the local press corps in a recent judgement. The judge stated that reporters often produce stories that are unfounded and filled with propaganda. The publication noted that the remarks highlight ongoing issues of underinvestment, low wages, and the overall fragility of the media sector.
