Update: The ongoing dispute over customer service at Sigelege Beach Resort has escalated into a public clash between musician Tay Grin and Amaryllis Hospitality Group Managing Director Ramy Waheed, according to Face of Malawi. After the artist described the Salima resort as boring on Facebook, Waheed challenged the remarks and accused Tay Grin of unfairly damaging the image of local tourism. Face of Malawi reports that Waheed later deleted his post following online backlash, while Tay Grin stood by his comments and demanded better professionalism and hospitality in the sector. The exchange has split Malawian social media users, with Malawi24 noting that the incident has sparked a wider debate about customer rights and service standards.

Update: The Malawian diaspora in Ireland is preparing for a major cultural celebration as the Association of Malawians in Ireland announces the headline acts for their upcoming Independence Day bash in Dublin. According to Malawi24, local musicians Bwede and Gibo Pearson have been selected to perform at the July 4 event to bring an authentic taste of Malawian music and culture to attendees. Association Chairman Henry Mkumbira Phiri told Malawi24 that the celebration is being organised in partnership with Starlight Production and focuses on celebrating heritage while empowering the community.
