On July 15, the government launched the Accountability to Affected Populations Strategy to improve communication and health accountability during humanitarian emergencies. The framework was introduced at the Dowa Community Ground in collaboration with the Malawi Health Equity Network and UNICEF. Furthermore, the Public Health Institute of Malawi hosted a two-day technical assembly at the Malville Hotel in Lilongwe starting July 14. According to the institute's official updates, the meeting aimed to consolidate multiple external funding streams into a single, cohesive national laboratory work plan for the 2026 to 2027 period.
