In a separate environmental and infrastructure development, Petroleum Importers Limited has invested K17 million in a solar-powered water system for Kasumbu Community Day Secondary School in Dedza, Nyasa Times reports. The installation features a solar pump, panels, and a storage tank to solve ongoing hygiene and sanitation challenges at the facility. General Manager Martin Msimuko stated that the clean energy project will provide reliable access to clean water, reducing the time students spend fetching water manually and improving the local educational environment.
