According to Malawi24, the civil society group has asked the minister to detail the funding behind ongoing construction at his private hotel. The demand follows Chipungu's recent public commitments to fight corruption and his warnings to remove illegal land encroachers.
Update: Minister of Finance Joseph Mwanamvekha has reassured the public that the national economy will remain stable despite recent reductions in international aid.
