The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) has officially released its Postgraduate and Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) selection lists for the 2026/2027 academic year. According to official admission documents published by the University Registrar on Wednesday, incoming postgraduate students are advised to report for their first semester on August 24, 2026, while ODeL students will begin their orientation earlier on August 10. New students must complete a mandatory orientation week before finalizing their online registration, which requires an upfront payment of at least half their semester fees.
The university also outlined its tuition structure for the upcoming academic year. ODeL undergraduate programmes are set at MK1,100,000 annually. Local postgraduate students will pay $2,500 per year for Masters programmes and $3,000 for PhD studies. In the public notice, LUANAR management cautioned candidates about payment fraud. The administration clarified that all fees must be deposited directly using student invoice numbers through the National Bank of Malawi or NBS Bank. The university explicitly stated it does not accept tuition payments in cash or through mobile money platforms like Airtel Money and TNM Mpamba, advising students to ignore any personal phone calls requesting funds.
