The initiative focuses on teaching female students about environmental science and provides them with the knowledge to become climate advocates in their local communities.
In the higher education sector, the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) officially commenced classes for its generic Bachelor's degree and Foundation Year programmes on August 3, 2026. According to university announcements, this follows a week of orientation for the face-to-face students as the institution begins its 2026/2027 academic year. Students enrolled in the weekend diploma programmes also reported for their orientation sessions on August 1.
Meanwhile, preparations for the upcoming primary and secondary school year are advancing. Sir Harry Johnston International School in Zomba released its new academic calendar, scheduling the first day of Term One for September 1, 2026, according to the school's official website.
