FDH Bank has signed a K1 billion memorandum of understanding with the Higher Education Students' Loans and Grants Board to help financially disadvantaged students access university education, according to Nyasa Times. The funds will support about 154 students each year who struggle to pay tuition and related expenses. FDH Bank Managing Director Noel Mkulichi said the financial commitment is a long-term investment designed to develop the professionals and business leaders who will contribute to Malawi's economic growth.
In other university news, the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences has published the names of candidates selected for its 2026/2027 Bachelor of Laws Honours programme, according to an official MUBAS announcement. The newly selected law students are required to report to campus for orientation on Friday, August 7, with official classes set to begin on Monday, August 10.
