The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has increased gate charges by 50 percent for the upcoming FDH Bank Premiership clash between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers, according to Nyasa Times. The match is scheduled for this Saturday at Mpira Stadium, a venue with a limited capacity of just 3,000 spectators. SULOM Vice-General Secretary Donnex Chilonga confirmed that open stand tickets have been raised from K10,000 to K15,000 to help control crowd numbers at the facility.

In international football, Malawi women's national team star Temwa Chawinga received a hero's welcome upon returning to her United States club, the Kansas City Current, reports the National Women's Soccer League. Chawinga recently led the Scorchers to a second-place finish at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, earning the tournament's Golden Boot with five goals and two assists.

Meanwhile, the family of former Cricket Malawi operations manager and national coach Arjun Menon is demanding answers as his murder case remains unresolved, according to Malawi24. More than 15 months after Menon was killed in Blantyre, authorities have yet to announce any arrests or identify suspects, prompting his relatives to press police for transparency and accountability in the ongoing investigation.
