Praise Umali Launches New Album as MUST Hosts Cultural Festival

Musician Praise Umali launched his latest 12-track album, titled "Dreams for Sale", at the Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre on Friday night, according to Nation Online. The album features songs about self-reflection, love, and loss. VisionFund Malawi partnered with the artist for his tour with a K5 million sponsorship. Unkhankhu Ng'oma, the organisation's head of marketing, stated that the partnership supports youth empowerment and encourages ambition among young entrepreneurs.

The Malawi University of Science and Technology hosted its fourth annual Cultural and Research Innovation Festival at its Ndata Campus in Thyolo from September 10 to September 12, according to Nation Online. The event brings together scientific research and traditional cultural heritage. The festival featured academic presentations alongside live music, art exhibitions, and traditional food displays. Standard Bank provided financial support for the gathering through its "Joy of the Arts" initiative to help link academic research with national development goals.

Update: Nigerian gospel singer Adah Ehi and Zambian artist Pompi are confirmed to perform at Theresa Phondo's upcoming live concert, Nation Online reports. The event is scheduled for October 31 at the Bingu International Convention Centre Amphitheatre in Lilongwe. Phondo said the concert will celebrate her musical journey while building connections between the Malawian music industry and other African nations.
