Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is preparing to host the "Harvest Mandate Salvation Festival" in Lilongwe this Saturday, September 26, according to Nyasa Times. The large open-air event will take place at the Garden of Peace in Area 43, combining worship, prayer, and preaching.
Organizers state that preparations are in full swing as they expect thousands of attendees from across Malawi. Bushiri emphasized that the festival is open to the general public, rather than just members of his Enlightened Christian Gathering church. He noted that the event is intended for everyone and that the message of salvation does not need limitations.
The upcoming festival marks another major domestic gathering for the preacher. Since returning to Malawi, Bushiri has consistently organized large-scale events that blend religious outreach with public spectacle, drawing substantial crowds to the nation's capital.
Update: Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney recently concluded a week-long visit to Malawi to officially unveil her foundation's new scholarship program in partnership with the University of Malawi, Hola magazine reports. During her stay, Clooney also visited a local girls' school to highlight the organization's ongoing educational initiatives.
