The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) will hold the draw for the National Bank of Malawi (NBM) Championship national finals on Monday, March 16, at the bank's headquarters in Blantyre, according to the association's official website. Four regional champions will compete for the title. These include Karonga United Reserve from the North, Mponela FC from the Central Region, Kababa Academy from the East, and QPL Stars from the South. The semi-finals are scheduled for Friday, March 20, with the final following on Sunday, March 22, at Champion Stadium in Mponela. The winning team will receive K10 million in prize money, while the runners-up and third-placed teams will walk away with K4 million and K2 million, respectively.

In pre-season football news, reigning TNM Super League champions Mighty Wanderers have confirmed their participation in the upcoming Sapitwa 4 Football Tournament, reports Maravi Express. The fourth edition of the invitational event will take place at Mulanje Park on the weekend of March 28 and 29. The Wanderers will compete alongside NBS Bank National Division League champions Red Lions, Castel Challenge Cup runners-up Dedza Dynamos, and Ekhaya FC. Super League of Malawi (SULOM) executive member Chimwemwe Nyirenda noted that the inclusion of the league champions has significantly raised the tournament's profile as teams prepare for the recommissioned FDH Bank Premiership season.
