At the University of Malawi (UNIMA), administrators recognised 192 students for outstanding academic performance during a special ceremony at the Great Hall. The university's official website reports that Vice-Chancellor Professor Samson Sajidu presided over the March 12 event. During the ceremony, 12 top-performing students who scored a Grade Point Average between 3.90 and 4.0 received the Vice-Chancellor's Award.
In other education news, the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) hosted 116 Form 4 students from Likwenu and Mulanje Mission Community Day Secondary Schools for a career guidance visit. According to the MUBAS website, the March 13 initiative was designed to provide the secondary school learners with academic direction and motivate them to pursue higher education in science, engineering, and business fields.
