Update: Malawi national team head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has added former Flames players Russel Mwafulirwa and Fischer Kondowe to his backroom staff. Kondowe replaces Peter Mgangira, who has returned to his club duties ahead of the 2026 domestic football season. The coaching appointments come as the Flames prepare for the upcoming Four Nations warm-up tournament in Francistown, Botswana, which also features the host nation, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The regional matches are part of the team's preparation for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
