In other university news, the University of Malawi (UNIMA) participated in a Career Day at Kamuzu Academy in Kasungu to provide academic and professional guidance to secondary school learners. According to a March 17 update from the UNIMA Bulletin, a delegation led by Director of Students Affairs Dr. Jonas Mwatseteza engaged Form 5 and Form 6 students on available degree programmes and career pathways.
Meanwhile, the Malawi Library Association (MALA) has challenged new graduates to embrace their roles as custodians of knowledge and facilitators of information access. According to Nyasa Times on March 17, MALA President Felix Majawa made the remarks during a graduation ceremony held at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) in Lilongwe, where 24 students received qualifications in Library and Information Communication Technology studies.
Additionally, the Malawi College of Accountancy (MCA) announced a new round of academic vacancies across its departments on March 16, as the institution prepares for its upcoming April 2026 semester intake.
