First Capital Bank is set to officially unveil a sponsorship deal with Nyasa Big Bullets on Friday in Ndirande Township, Blantyre, according to the Malawi Nyasa Times. The launch event will feature the introduction of the club's new season kit and full details of the partnership structure. FCB Head of Marketing and Communication Twikale Chirwa stated the agreement is aimed at strengthening the team's long-term growth and competitiveness.

In government news, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture has launched a consultative review of the National Sports Policy to align the framework with the Malawi 2063 vision, reports MBC. During a meeting in Mzuzu, Principal Secretary for Administration Misheck Munthali noted that the current policy, established in 2007, is outdated and requires updates to meet current demands within the sports sector.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets defender Blessings Mpokera has been crowned the Airtel Top 8 Player of the Tournament, according to the club's official website. Mpokera received the accolade during an awards ceremony at the Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre on Wednesday evening. He was recognised for his defensive consistency in helping his team successfully retain the cup against Silver Strikers.

The Football Association of Malawi has commenced the second phase of stadium inspections ahead of the 2026 football season, covering 21 venues across the country, according to the FAM website. Licensing and Competitions Manager Clement Kafwafwa indicated that the ongoing evaluations focus heavily on playing surfaces and sanitary facilities, ensuring all grounds are fully compliant before the new campaign begins.
