The Football Association of Malawi has commenced the second phase of stadium inspections ahead of the 2026 football season, according to the association's official website. The exercise, which runs until April 2, will cover 21 venues across the country. FAM Licensing and Competitions Manager Clement Kafwafwa stated that the inspections provide an opportunity for stadium owners to improve their facilities. Kafwafwa noted that inspectors are paying special attention to playing surfaces to ensure they are fully compliant and not waterlogged, alongside checking sanitary facilities for the safety of players, officials, and supporters. The stadium checks are taking place alongside administrative visits to 16 elite teams and 12 National Division League clubs.

In domestic transfer news, Ekhaya FC has loaned forward Lewa Nkosi to Goshen City Dedza Dynamos for the upcoming season, the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation reports. Nkosi, who signed a three-year contract with Ekhaya in mid-2025, made limited appearances for the club after sustaining an ankle injury shortly after his arrival. In a club statement, Ekhaya indicated the loan move is designed to help the striker secure regular playing time and regain his momentum. Nkosi previously scored his debut goal for Ekhaya via a penalty in January 2026 during a Castel Challenge Cup match. The transfer follows Ekhaya's recent acquisitions of striker James Stambuli and goalkeeper Clever Nkungula as they prepare for the new season.
