Unicaf University has launched new student-focused outreach initiatives to support young women and promote mental health, according to university press releases. The university hosted the "TechHer: Empowering Girls through Mentorship" programme at Likuni Girls' Secondary School in Lilongwe. A delegation led by Unicaf's Student Affairs Officer Limbani Mwale and facilitator Queen Manthimba Phiri engaged approximately 120 Form 4 students, providing career guidance to encourage young women to pursue fields in technology and bridge the digital literacy gap.
Separately, Unicaf hosted a student-led mental health session facilitated by university students Precious Kamanga and Tumisang Makwati. According to the university, the initiative aimed to equip participants with stress-management tools and build peer support networks.
