In an update to the previously reported weekend entertainment slate, specific lineups for theatre and music events have been confirmed. According to The Daily Times, the Easter Theatre Fest officially kicked off on Friday. Theatre enthusiasts can also look forward to the weekend premieres of two major productions, "The Royal Dilemma" and "Bukata," with the latter making its debut at the Apollo Auditorium.
The local music and comedy scenes are equally active this Easter weekend. The Daily Times reports that the "Lilongwe March Madness" showcase will feature a headlining face-off between popular artists Eli Njuchi and Saint Realest. Additional musical performances include the Magician and Butter Music Experience at Comesa Hall, as well as a scheduled "Mangolongondo Night" at Kwaharaba. Meanwhile, an Easter show celebrating the legacy of the late veteran comedy duo Izeki ndi Jakobo is also on the holiday entertainment calendar.
