The National Bank of Malawi (NBM) recently hosted the Mo626 Southern Region Inter-College Social Weekend, drawing students from several universities for an evening of music and fashion, according to Nyasa Times. The gathering included attendees from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences, the University of Malawi, the Malawi University of Science and Technology, the Catholic University, and the Kamuzu College of Health Sciences.

The event began with the Tiphwasuke Costume Party, where NBM awarded K250,000 each to the top three best-dressed male and female students, Nyasa Times reports. The musical lineup featured a surprise performance by Malonie Kyz, who performed his track "Sizinantole".

Later in the night, Amapiano artist Zeze Kingstone performed a set that included hits such as "Ndilila M'Mvura," "Kusangalala," and "Achisale," according to Nyasa Times. Following the Southern Region event, NBM is expected to organize similar Mo626 social weekends for college students in the Central and Northern regions.

In separate celebrity news, artist Pandakwa has publicly dismissed rumors of a fallout with legendary Malawian musician Mbenjere, the Maravi Post reports.
