FDH Bricks Win Basketball Championship as Bullets Sign Midfielder Clever Kalambo

According to the Nyasa Times, FDH Bricks secured the Southern Zone Basketball League Men's Division One championship after defeating the Crazy Warriors 69 to 56 in the final. Team manager Khama Mtalimanja credited the victory to disciplined strategies and focused preparation following a final loss last season. In the women's division, Lady Hurricane claimed the title by beating the Mikoko Mystics 106 to 94.

In domestic football transfers, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets confirmed the signing of 18-year-old midfielder Clever Kalambo on a three-year contract running until 2029, as reported by the club's official website. Kalambo joins as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Moyale Barracks. The acquisition marks the club's seventh signing ahead of the 2026/27 FDH Bank Premiership campaign.

Meanwhile, Ekhaya FC emerged victorious in the 2026 pre-season Premier Bet Sapitwa 4 Football Tournament, defeating Goshen City Dedza Dynamos 1 to 0, according to Nation Online.
