Organisers are preparing for the second edition of the Theatre Renaissance Cabaret Festival in Lilongwe, scheduled to run from July 30 to August 2. To support the event, four Zimbabwean cyclists will ride 800 kilometres from Harare to Lilongwe, according to The Herald. The cyclists are riding to raise funds for visually impaired actress Edith Masango to perform her solo play, "Muchazondida," at the upcoming festival.

On the music front, Lilongwe rapper and producer Naleji is drawing attention with his latest 2026 releases, according to The Hype Magazine. Born Winston Malata, the artist recently dropped the tracks "Selebu" and "Mzake Wa Mzanga," with the latter featuring Sarah Blvck. The new singles build on the momentum of his 2024 extended play and highlight his expanding work in the Malawian hip-hop scene as both a recording artist and a producer.
