Update: FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Gilbert Chirwa has officially named his starting lineup for this afternoon's NBS Bank Charity Shield match against rivals Mighty Wanderers, according to the club's website. The Blantyre derby marks the start of the 2026/2027 domestic football season, with newly appointed captain Blessings Mpokera leading the Bullets on the pitch.

Update: Meanwhile, Mighty Wanderers head coach Bob Mpinganjira has completed the first day of his professional development placement at Queens Park Rangers in London, the Nyasa Times reports. Stationed at the English club's TSG Elite Training Centre, Mpinganjira observed a first-team training session and reviewed QPR's player conditioning, nutritional planning, and youth development programmes. The ten-day coaching attachment will also expose the Malawian coach to data analytics and performance analysis.
