The University of Malawi (UNIMA) has issued revised arrangements for its first academic congregation of the year. According to an April 20 announcement on the official UNIMA website, the 2026 graduation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 29, at The Great Hall in Zomba. The university registrar confirmed that President Arthur Peter Mutharika, acting in his capacity as Chancellor of the university, has delegated Vice-Chancellor Professor Samson Sajidu to preside over the graduation sessions.
In a separate update, UNIMA announced new enrollment opportunities for aspiring educators. According to a notice published on April 21 by the university's School of Education, the institution has officially opened its call for applications for the University Certificate in Education programme. This current application window targets new students for the upcoming September 2026 intake.
